Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Field Service Specialist II for remote US work. You will commission and troubleshoot refrigeration control systems, modify controller programs, and lead store commissioning projects with thorough documentation.

Extensive travel (85–90%) required, collaborating with managers, engineers, and customers. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and hands-on problem solving in HVACR environments.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on field experience in refrigeration, controls, or commissioning.
• Advanced understanding of refrigeration cycle operation (compressors, valves, racks, cases).
• Knowledge of building automation systems and HVAC control logic.
• CO2 trans-critical or cascade system experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Modbus, BACnet, and other communication protocols preferred.
• Travel up to 85-90% and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Commission and verify control systems for refrigeration and HVAC applications.
• Troubleshoot system issues on-site and remotely to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and modify controller programs from I/O legends or existing sequences.
• Execute store commissioning projects and complete documentation accurately.
• Provide site-level customer support and training for contractors and end users.
• Review prints, electrical schematics, and project specs.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technical Support.
• Maintain knowledge of third-party control systems and network integrations.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
