Job summary
Tigua-Inc is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC systems at the Ports of Entry in McAllen, TX. The role ensures efficient operation and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities include inspections, PM work orders, troubleshooting, and coordinating with contractors while ensuring records are up-to-date and energy usage is optimized. Will require flexibility for various shifts and on-call rotations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical maintenance training preferred.
- 2–3 years’ experience in basic electrical, mechanical, and computer technology.
- Certified HVAC Technician (EPA regulations)
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of all mechanical equipment.
- Verify the energy management system is operating correctly.
- Monitor space temperatures and adjust as needed.
- Perform PM work orders in NCMMS; close out completed work orders.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify issues.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and perform repairs.
- Monitor and adjust system controls for energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and system performance.
- Respond to service requests and on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with facilities staff and contractors as needed.
