Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, in McAllen, TX. You will install, configure, and maintain HVAC systems and building equipment, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable facility operations.

You will collaborate with management and facility partners, follow safety standards, and maintain accurate records. On-call rotations and use of digital tools are part of the role; a valid EPA 608 certification is required.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification and 2 years' mechanical maintenance experience.
• Option 1: 4 years' mechanical maintenance or related trades experience.
• Option 2: 2 years' store experience.
• Valid state driver's license and pass MVR.
• EPA 608 Certification for refrigerants.
• Clean driving record with limited violations.
• No major accidents in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems and controls per docs and codes.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues for optimal operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to extend equipment life.
• Operate tools safely and follow OSHA and safety protocols.
• Maintain records, work orders, inspections, and parts usage.
• Communicate service status with operators and partners.
• Participate in on-call rotations and manage work via digital tools.
