Job summary

Tigua Inc. in Sierra Vista, AZ seeks a General Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on equipment and facilities across multiple land port of entries. Candidates must pass government background checks and drug screening, with potential contract support.

The role covers HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, inspections, record-keeping, safety compliance, and on-call emergency maintenance. Occasional travel may be required; OSHA-10 preferred; full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance preferred.
• 2–3 years’ experience in basic electrical, mechanical, and computer technology.
• OSHA-10 certification or the ability to complete within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely resolutions.
• Conduct inspections and monthly preventive maintenance to identify problems and mitigate risks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
• Provide emergency response and repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Assist in the implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures
• Must be able to respond to a Priority 1 work order immediately, this includes weekends and holidays. Communication must be made to Tigua to provide a detailed status update to be entered into Maximo.
• Must be able to respond to a Priority 2 work order via phone call within 30 minutes and be on site within 1 hour plus travel.
• Must respond to a Priority 3 work order within 30 days
