Job summary

Johnstone Supply in San Diego, CA is seeking a technically skilled sales support professional to help contractors with HVACR product knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting, and on-site field support while avoiding installation work.

You will develop training programs, assist branch and account managers in closing opportunities, and help refine warranty processes to improve service levels and reduce warranty costs.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of HVAC/R field service experience.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred in engineering, logistics, business or HVAC.
• Valid driver's license and travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop guidelines and tools to meet growing demand for technical sales support.
• Provide technical training for customers and employees on HVAC fundamentals.
• Assist Branch and Account Managers in closing sales opportunities with larger dealers.
• Develop structure for warranty process and unit exchanges to reduce warranty transactions.
• Track and report warranty failure rates and training attendance.
• Assist Purchasing and Marketing with product mix and related items to increase sales.
• Establish relationships with vendor partners and key customers.
• Stay updated on industry trends affecting target markets/products.
