FirstCall Mechanical is seeking a Service Operations Manager to lead the commercial service department in New Orleans. You will be responsible for P&L, revenue growth, and overseeing a skilled technician team, blending hands-on field support with strategic planning.

The role emphasizes financial performance, customer satisfaction, safety, and development of technicians through ongoing training and mentorship. A strong leadership mindset and HVAC expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience with 2–3 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC equipment including RTUs, split systems, boilers, and VRF.
• Experience managing a department budget, P&L, or service sales.
• Experience with field service software (e.g., ServiceTitan, BuildOps).
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Own the service department P&L, including revenue, gross margin, and labor utilization.
• Grow service revenue through maintenance renewals, quotes, and pricing strategies.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop technicians; conduct performance reviews.
• Coordinate with dispatch to assign the right technician by skill and location.
• Ensure PM visits are completed on time and within budgeted hours; manage inventory and parts.
