Job summary

Trane Technologies invites you to join a 12‑week summer internship in Technical Sales to gain hands‑on experience and develop skills in sales engineering, leadership, and communication. Work onsite in Charlotte with Sales Account Managers and customers, learning the design, application, and sale of HVAC systems and controls.

You will onboard dealers, participate in lead generation, attend meetings, and be mentored as you explore a future in sales through LEAP after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or associate degree program with an interest in pursuing a sales career path.
• U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, ability to provide proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our industry leading Sales Account Managers, and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for residential HVAC applications.
• Onboarding new dealers and introduction to Residential Order Placement Resources
• Current dealer outreach, explanation of benefits, programs and sales initiatives
• Lead generation
• Attend sales meetings; business functions; sales and service calls; customer meetings alongside experienced account managers and mentors.
• Understand the steps sales teams take from start to finish on a job and be hands‑on in those steps throughout the internship.
• Gain an appreciation for the importance of the relationship with our customers as you work with them as a daily point-of-contact creating a sense of ownership and importance in the solution‑making process.
