Job summary

Trane Technologies invites motivated students to join a 12-week Summer internship program focused on Technical Sales across Building Automation, Equipment, and Services. You will work with senior Sales Account Managers, learn system design, and participate in client visits and meetings to understand end-to-end sales processes.

Participants gain hands-on experience, develop leadership and communication skills, and may qualify for the company’s Graduate Training Program (GTP) after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree throughout the entire duration of the summer internship.
• Preferred fields include Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, or Engineering.
• Candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year before the start of the summer internship.
• Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• A passion for continuous learning in technical fields and the ability to communicate engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with industry-leading Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls, and customer meetings alongside experienced account managers and mentors.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps throughout the internship.
• Build lasting relationships with customers as a daily point of contact to create ownership and trust in the solution.
