Job summary

Trane Technologies invites driven undergraduates and graduates to join a 12-week Summer internship program focused on Technical Sales. You will work with Sales Account Managers, learn system design and application of HVAC solutions, and participate in hands-on sales engineering activities.

You will gain leadership experience, communication skills, and an understanding of building automation products while exploring a potential Graduate Training Program upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program for the full duration of the internship.
• Preferred backgrounds include Information Technology, Information Systems, or Engineering.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months and proof of insurance.
• Travel limited to less than 15% of geographic scope.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with industry-leading Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of HVAC systems and controls for commercial buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions and customer meetings with mentors.
• Be hands-on in the sales-engineering steps from start to finish.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point of contact to shape solutions.
