Job summary

Hussmann is looking for a skilled HVAC/R Technician to maintain and repair supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document all work thoroughly while coordinating with lead technicians.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in the field or 3 years with a technical school certification (internal candidates may have 1 year of on-the-job training).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• EPA 608 Certification is preferred.
• External candidates: 5 years in the field or 3 years with certification from a technical school.
• Internal candidates: 1 year as a Qualified Technician with OJT & Skills Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and merchandisers with guidance from a Master/Lead Technician.
• Detect and repair leaks; vacuum, charge, and test system performance.
• Complete work tickets and invoicing electronically in a timely, accurate manner.
• Maintain truck inventory and adhere to vehicle maintenance guidelines.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relations and clearly communicate equipment issues.
