Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a skilled Service Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair refrigeration, heating and air-conditioning equipment in supermarkets and cold storage facilities. You will perform routine maintenance, resolve warranty issues, and partner with other technicians on start-ups.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, HVAC-R training, and EPA 608 certification; 7–10 years of field experience depending on credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC-R technical schooling preferred.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• 10 years field experience externally or 7 years with tech school certification; internal candidates 7 years with OJT & Skills Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed maintenance procedures on supermarket refrigeration systems and merchandisers.
• Assist with start-up of new refrigeration equipment with other technicians.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R equipment; mentor other technicians.
