Job summary

Hussmann seeks a skilled HVAC/R technician to perform maintenance, diagnosis and repair of supermarket refrigeration equipment and related systems on-site. You will work under supervision with a focus on safety, accuracy and customer communication.

Applicants should hold a high school diploma or GED, EPA 608 certification, and a valid driver’s license. The role requires physical ability, willingness to work nights/weekends, and a hands-on approach to learn and apply skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; HVAC-R training preferred.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License with safe driving record.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills for refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems with supervision.
• Detect and repair leaks, replace components, and service motors and pumps.
• Document work tickets, time sheets and invoicing using a handheld device.
• Maintain truck inventory and adhere to vehicle maintenance guidelines.
• Build customer relations and communicate equipment issues clearly.
