Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a motivated Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems in supermarkets and cold storage facilities. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs with limited supervision, applying strong electrical and refrigeration knowledge.

A valid driver's license, EPA 608 certification, and 5 years in the field (or 3 years with a technical school cert) are required; internal candidates may have 1 year as a Qualified Technician with OJT/Skills Assessment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC-R technical school degree preferred.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating and air-conditioning systems commonly installed in supermarkets and stores.
• Work with Master or Lead Technician for advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
• Complete work tickets and documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain and manage truck inventory and adhere to vehicle maintenance policies.
