Job summary

Johnstone Supply, North America’s leading HVACR distributor, seeks a Counter Sales Associate II in Baton Rouge to assist customers, process orders, and grow sales. You will help with product selection, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate back-orders while maintaining store profitability.

Role requires a High School diploma, 2+ years wholesale/retail HVAC/R experience, and forklift certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong customer service and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of related wholesale/retail HVAC/R experience.
• Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in-store and by name, delivering friendly, professional service.
• Assist customers in selecting HVAC/R products and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Recommend and order products; identify substitutes and promotions.
• Research products via POS, catalogs, websites, and internal systems; arrange transfers if needed.
• Process quotes, warranties, cash handling, and order paperwork accurately.
• Follow up on inquiries, quotes, delays, and delivery dates with customers.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and proper inventory levels; uphold SOPs.
