Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician in Huntsville, AL to perform general maintenance and repairs to keep apartment homes and facilities in good working order. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, plumbing, carpentry, and locks while maintaining a preventative maintenance program.

Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move‑in, following up with residents after repairs, and upholding high standards of work.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required or within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and facilities in good working order.
• Prepare apartments for move‑in and inspect for readiness.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; handle plumbing and carpentry; manage locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs are complete.
