Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to uphold high standards of property upkeep and resident satisfaction. You will perform general maintenance, diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, and follow a preventative maintenance schedule while communicating with residents after repairs.

Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years of multifamily maintenance experience, HVAC experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire), and a

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs are complete.
