Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair across apartment homes and common areas. You will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, electrical appliances, plumbing, carpentry, and locks, while following a preventive maintenance schedule.

EPA Type II or Universal certification is required by hire or within 90 days, and a valid driver’s license is needed to operate service vehicles.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in multifamily property management, facility maintenance or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and property facilities are in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical appliances, outlets and light fixtures.
• Handle plumbing, carpentry and lock-related tasks as needed.
• Follow a planned preventive maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs.
