Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair apartments and property facilities. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix HVAC units, appliances, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and door hardware; prepare units for move-in and follow a preventive maintenance schedule.

EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification is required or obtained within 90 days of hire. A valid driver’s license is required; 1–3 years of multifamily property maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartments and property in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets and light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry and locks.
• Follow a planned preventive maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs.
