Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across apartment homes and property facilities. You will diagnose and fix HVAC systems, electrical appliances, outlets, lighting fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and lock systems as part of a scheduled preventative maintenance program.

Qualified candidates have 1–3 years in multifamily maintenance or related fields, HVAC experience, and EPA Type II or Universal certification or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and facilities are in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units.
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Handle plumbing, carpentry, and locks as needed.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and recheck with residents after repairs.
