Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs in our multifamily properties. You will diagnose and fix HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues, while following a preventive maintenance schedule and updating residents after work is completed.

Candidates should have HVAC experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and facilities in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets and light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry and locks.
• Follow a planned preventive maintenance schedule and communicate with residents after repairs are complete.
