Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate contract functions for small HVAC retrofit projects and to back up PMs on larger ones. You will manage schedules, submittals, RFIs and change orders while ensuring compliance and timely delivery.

The role requires 3+ years in HVAC/building controls, strong communication, and multi-tasking abilities, with MS Office proficiency and a valid driver’s license. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management or business management.
• 3+ years working experience in HVAC or building controls.
• Experience submitting proposals, scopes of work, scheduling and coordinating site contractors.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and operations.
• Strong verbal and listening communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task with high accuracy and changing priorities.
• Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently.
• Advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
• Valid driver’s license and MVR to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Create and manage design submittals, RFIs and change orders.
• Work with Quality Control to develop and review QC documents.
• Manage designers, subcontractors and vendors to ensure on-time, correct information.
• Review subcontractor and engineering performance and provide feedback to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate purchase of supplies, equipment and services and maintain inventory control.
• Review and approve design submittals to ensure compliance.
