Job summary

Harris is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HVAC construction projects from scope through closeout, ensuring standards, budgets, deadlines, and communications are maintained. You will manage documentation, RFIs, and field coordination, while assisting in safety, procurement, estimating, and labor tracking.

The role requires a mechanical/constructive background, strong reading of docs, teamwork, and communication skills to coordinate with project teams, vendors, and site personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of knowledge/experience of the building & construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Review, organize and distribute Contract Documents and shop drawings to team members.
• Distribute and log activities for the team; assist with RFIs and responses.
• Attend field coordination meetings and distribute meeting notes.
• Assist in administering project quality control and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors to estimate projects using estimating software.
• Support tracking labor productivity in accounting software.
