Job summary

Harris is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HVAC construction from planning through closeout. You will help maintain project standards, budget and deadlines while coordinating communications among the Harris project team, subcontractors, fab shops and vendors.

Responsibilities include document control, RFIs, field coordination, procurement support and labor tracking in accounting software. Strong organizational skills and construction document literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 2+ years in the building & construction industry.
• 2+ years of experience with mechanical systems.
• 2+ years of experience with business administration and management principles.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support during HVAC construction across all phases.
• Review, process, log and distribute contract docs and shop drawings.
• Attend field coordination meetings and distribute notes.
• Assist in drafting, submitting and tracking RFIs and responses.
• Support procurement, equipment rentals, and shipping coordination.
• Track labor productivity in accounting software with the project team.
• Coordinate with suppliers to estimate projects and prep scope letters.
• Identify changes to the original scope of work and report.
• Assist in project closeout documentation including O&M manuals.
