Job summary

Harris, a leading mechanical contractor, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support HVAC construction projects from planning through closeout.

You will help manage documents, procurement, safety compliance and field coordination, while assisting in cost control and schedule updates.

A degree in mechanical engineering or construction and 2+ years in the building industry are preferred; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in the building and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction.
• Review, organize and distribute contract documents and shop drawings/submittals.
• Attend field coordination meetings and distribute notes.
• Administer the project quality control program and closeout documentation.
• Assist in estimation and procurement activities.
• Track labor productivity in accounting software.
