Job summary

Harris is seeking a Service Assistant Project Manager to support HVAC service projects from kickoff to closeout. You will manage document control, logging and distribution of contracts, drawings, RFIs, and submittals, and help prepare field coordination notes to keep teams aligned and on schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in a technical field (bachelor preferred), has 2+ years in building and construction, and can read and interpret construction documents.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in the building and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Knowledge of business administration and management principles.

Responsibilities

• Document control: review, log and distribute contract documents (drawings, specs, RFIs, bulletins) and shop drawings.
• Attend field coordination meetings and distribute meeting notes.
• Assist in procurement support and tracking of equipment/tool rentals.
• Support project cost tracking and labor productivity reporting.
• Assist in project closeout documentation (O&M manuals, spare parts, training, punch lists).
