Ferguson is seeking a knowledgeable Counter Sales Associate in Corte Madera, CA to advise plumbing and HVAC contractor customers. Build relationships, drive sales, and deliver outstanding service while leveraging product expertise to guide purchasing decisions.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm with overtime as needed, earning a starting wage of $25.04/hour, potentially higher based on experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in customer service or sales; plumbing/HVAC industry preferred.
• Strong communication and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Engage customers proactively at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand their needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert by learning and applying knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and related products.
• Drive sales growth by upselling, cross-selling, and promoting programs.
• Utilize catalogs, computer systems, and manufacturer databases to locate parts and provide accurate information.
• Process transactions efficiently while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Associates to support account growth and deliver seamless service.
• Manage special orders and follow up on status, back-orders, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a professional, organized counter environment reflecting our quality and service.
