Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Business Development for HVAC to own the largest multi-location deals from first meeting to signed contract. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, focused on strategic HVAC groups across locations.

You will manage full-cycle deals, coordinate with owners and regional leaders, and expand engagements to additional locations and services once a group signs.

Qualifications

• A proven track record of closing $1M+ annual enterprise deals in multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling to HVAC groups or multi-location buyers in marketing/agency services.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.
• This role favors closing business over people management.

Responsibilities

• Own the full deal cycle: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close (3–12 months).
• Engage with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders at the table.
• Drive expansion to more locations and services after a group signs.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership to craft winning proposals.
