Job summary

Johnson Barrow INC in Seattle, WA is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer to drive growth with engineers, contractors, and building owners in the Pacific Northwest. You will apply HVAC product knowledge to identify opportunities, manage sales cycles, and deliver technically sound proposals.

Requirements include a mechanical engineering background, 3+ years of HVAC sales/BD experience, CRM skills, and strong communication. Base salary starts at $100,000 with commission after year one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience in HVAC design/sales.
• 3+ years direct selling, marketing, or designing HVAC products for contractors or design engineers.
• 3+ years business development and relationship management in HVAC industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with owners, engineers, contractors, and end-users.
• Identify and develop opportunities with new and existing customers using HVAC knowledge.
• Drive yearly sales growth and secure long-term opportunities in the Northwest.
• Provide technical expertise on system design, product selection, and specification writing.
• Prepare detailed sales proposals, estimates, and take-offs tailored to customer needs.
• Manage projects from design through commissioning, ensuring quality and satisfaction.
