Job summary

Johnson Barrow, a leading HVAC manufacturers’ representative in the Pacific Northwest, seeks an Outside Sales Engineer to drive growth and build strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and owners. You will apply HVAC product knowledge to identify opportunities, manage sales cycles, and deliver technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, design and specification writing, and end-to-end project management, with a base salary plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Three years of experience direct selling, marketing, or designing HVAC products.
• Three years of business development and relationship management within the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with owners, engineers, contractors, and end-users.
• Identify opportunities with new and existing customers using HVAC product knowledge.
• Drive annual sales growth and secure long-term opportunities in the Northwest.
• Provide technical expertise on system design, product selection, and specification writing.
• Prepare detailed sales proposals, estimates, and take-offs tailored to customer needs.
• Manage projects from design to commissioning, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
