Qualifications

• Ability to cross-reference and recommend substitute products.
• Ability to get along with customers and other employees, follow directions and work under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration; willingness to learn United's product offering.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously by name (if known).
• Answer telephones promptly identifying yourself and the company.
• Provide professional and knowledgeable assistance to customers.
• Process customer orders accurately and promptly; assist with procurement/replenishment as needed.
• Enhance orders by suggesting additional products when appropriate.
• Use computer for invoicing, credits, returns, and other transactions.
• Load/unload vehicles using proper equipment; maintain stock and cleanliness.
• Attend to after-hours emergency call rotation as needed.
• Follow-through on promises and commitments to customers.
• Perform related duties; maintain safe, clean work environment.
