Job summary

UNITED REFRIGERATION, INC. is seeking a customer-focused service associate to greet customers, handle inquiries, and process orders for HVAC and refrigeration products.

The role involves using a computer for invoicing and purchasing, stocking duties, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Ideal candidates will have basic HVAC knowledge, be able to work overtime and Saturdays as needed, and participate in product seminars to stay current with offerings.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration.
• Learn and understand United’s product offering as well as rest of industry.
• Attend product seminars provided in-house and trade education groups (RSES, ACCA, ARW, etc.) and vendors.
• Overtime and Saturdays as required by location and season.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously by name (if known).
• Answer telephones promptly identifying yourself and the company.
• Provide professional and knowledgeable assistance to customers.
• Process customer orders accurately and timely, including invoicing, credits, returns, and replenishment.
• Enhance customer orders by suggesting additional products.
• Use computer for invoicing, credits, returns, procurement, and cash handling.
• Load and unload vehicles using proper equipment; break down and stock.
• Maintain neat and safe store/warehouse area and follow safety rules.
• Participate in After Hours Emergency Call rotation to assist customers when branch is closed.
• Keep vendor catalogs, price sheets, MSDS sheets up to date.
