This full-time, non-exempt position requires accurate invoicing, loading shipments, maintaining neat displays, greeting customers, and upholding safety standards while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication with the general public and customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills to service customers in-branch, on the phone, or at the delivery site.
• Proficiency operating a computer and Prophet 21.
• Basic math; understands markup, gross margin, and related impacts.
• Ability to read invoices, catalogs, stock numbers and descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly customer service by following 'Customer First' standards, in person or over the telephone.
• Greet customers as they enter the branch and maintain a positive attitude.
• Enter customer orders in the system and ensure same-day processing.
• Pull orders from warehouse, load into delivery trucks, or stage for pickup.
• Prepare invoices, CODs, and other paperwork accurately.
• Collect payments and follow money handling procedures.
• Process returns and warranties the same day they are received.
• Maintain self-service area; restock and tidy displays.
• Create/maintain branch displays to support programs and markets.
• Use resources to locate products and update customers on delivery status.
• Report damage or safety issues to supervisor promptly.
• Promote specials and stay updated on product information.
• Perform warehouse duties and general cleanliness tasks as needed.
• Represent the company professionally in uniform and grooming standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
