R.E. Michel Company, LLC in Fort Oglethorpe, GA is seeking an entry-level Counter Sales associate. This full-time, non-exempt position handles calls, helps customers locate items, processes invoices, and assists with loading and delivering products to customer locations.

You will greet customers, maintain displays, enter orders in the system the same day, and ensure accurate paperwork while upholding our Customer First standards. Training provided and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Heating and Cooling systems, parts and supplies.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the public.
• Strong interpersonal skills to service customers in the branch, on the telephone or at the delivery site.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems including Prophet 21.
• Basic math skills and understanding of markup vs gross margin and effects on sales.
• Ability to read invoices, catalogs, stock numbers and descriptions to identify items.

Responsabilités

• Provide fast and friendly customer service by following 'Customer First' standards, in person or over the telephone.
• Greet customers as they enter the branch and display a positive attitude.
• Enter customer orders in the system on the same day the order is received.
• Pull customer orders from warehouse and load into delivery truck or staging area.
• Produce and complete invoices and related paperwork (CODs, vendor purchase orders, shipping/receiving).
• Ensure all product leaving the branch is billed and collect payment.
• Process all customer returns and warranties the same day received.
• Maintain self-service area by restocking and tidying the displays.
• Create/maintain branch displays supporting programs and market strengths.
• Use resources to locate products and update customers on delivery/backorder status.
• Report damage, safety issues, and accidents to supervisor immediately.
• Use sales tactics to promote items and stay current on product info.
