R.E. Michel Company in Medford, MA is seeking a Counter Sales representative to deliver fast, friendly customer service and process orders. You will greet customers, enter orders the same day, pull items from the warehouse, and assist with loading for delivery or pickup.

This full-time role requires accurate paperwork, cash/credit card handling, knowledge of product lines, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with HVAC/R products is helpful.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication with customers and the public.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Prophet 21 software.
• Basic math skills; understands markup vs gross margin impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly customer service in person or by phone.
• Enter customer orders in the system on the same day they are received.
• Pull orders from warehouse and load for delivery or staging for pickup.
• Prepare invoices, CODs, vendor purchase orders, and shipping/receiving paperwork.
• Collect payments via cash or credit card following money-handling procedures.
• Process returns and warranties the same day they are received.
• Maintain and restock self-service areas and displays.
• Assist in warehouse duties as needed and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
