R.E. Michel Company is seeking a Counter Sales 1 at our Reading, PA branch. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on fast, friendly service, greeting customers, processing orders, and assisting with stock and displays to meet customer needs.

You will handle invoices, payments, returns, warranties, and basic warehouse tasks, while upholding safety standards. Prophet 21 experience and good math help you succeed; we offer growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• Excellent verbal communication skills with the general public and customers.
• Excellent attitude and interpersonal skills to service customers in the branch, on the telephone or at the delivery site.
• Demonstrated proficiency operating a computer and Prophet 21.
• Basic math skills; understands markup vs gross margin and impact on sales and expenses.
• Ability to read invoices, catalogs, stock numbers and descriptions to identify items.

Responsabilidades

• Provide fast and friendly customer service in person or over the telephone.
• Greet customers on entry and maintain a positive branch presence.
• Enter customer orders in the system on the same day the order is received.
• Pull orders from warehouse and load into delivery truck or staging area.
• Prepare invoices, CODs, vendor purchase orders and shipping/receiving paperwork.
• Ensure products leaving the branch are billed and payments collected.
• Process returns and warranties the same day they are received.
• Maintain self-service area by restocking and tidying.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed and keep work areas clean.
• Uphold safety, grooming and company standards; report issues.
