Job summary

QBS Controls in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking a driven HVAC Controls Salesperson to grow our building automation business. You will develop relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, and building owners, and turn opportunities into won projects.

You will identify new opportunities for controls installation, retrofit, and service work, present solutions, and maintain an active sales pipeline while collaborating with operations to hand off sold projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in HVAC controls, building automation, or commercial HVAC preferred.
• Technical understanding of DDC / BAS systems and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical plans and specifications and develop estimates.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for controls installation, retrofit, and service work.
• Build and maintain relationships with mechanical contractors, GCs, engineers, and building owners.
• Review plans and specifications, estimate projects, and prepare proposals.
• Present solutions and close controls projects and service agreements.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.
• Work with operations to ensure smooth handoff of sold projects.
