Job summary

Jobot in Dallas, TX seeks a BAS Sales Engineer to grow our building automation and HVAC controls business in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will engage with building owners, mechanical contractors, engineers, and facility teams to identify opportunities and define practical BAS solutions.

You should have hands-on experience with BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, DDC systems, and BACnet, with strong relationship skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience in BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, DDC systems.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, specs, and sequences of operation.
• Familiarity with BACnet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop BAS and HVAC opportunities in the DFW market.
• Build relationships with building owners, contractors, engineers, facility managers, and partners.
• Meet with customers to understand facilities, existing control systems, and project goals.
• Identify opportunities for BAS upgrades, retrofits, new installations, service agreements, and energy management solutions.
• Review plans, specifications, sequences of operation, and mechanical systems to define project scope.
• Perform site walks and gather information for accurate controls solutions.
• Work with estimating, engineering, operations, and project teams on scopes and budgets.
• Present proposals and explain technical solutions clearly.
