Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Controls Project Manager for our HVAC division to act as the on-site project leader, planning, executing, and completing control systems projects for assigned customers.

Responsibilities include hardware design, programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and directing subcontractors. The role requires strong HVAC knowledge, customer communication, and the ability to manage budgets and timelines with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant technical hands on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC/ Building Automation controls systems.
• Along with HVAC Controls Knowledge, this role requires Customer Communication, Organization, Ability to lead projects.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage control systems projects from planning to completion at assigned customer sites.
• Provide on-site leadership and coordinate hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning.
• Oversee subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as needed.
• Maintain project profitability, manage costs, billings, and collections, and provide monthly revenue/cost forecasts.
