Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a driven HVAC Commercial Account Executive to join our Boston sales team. You will identify and develop opportunities with contractors, engineers, facility managers, and building owners, promoting JCI/York HVAC solutions and managing project execution.

You will lead the sales cycle, build rapport, and deliver accurate proposals while coordinating with operations post-sale. A base salary with commission and a robust benefits package backs your efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of commercial or applied HVAC product experience and/or experience with refrigerants.
• Ability to read and understand construction documents.
• Understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in or commute to the Boston, MA area, or relocate if needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales process to deliver a positive customer experience and strong business outcomes.
• Build customer rapport by presenting Johnson Controls products and services with confidence and clarity.
• Prepare accurate and complete sales proposals that align with customer needs and project scope.
• Support post-sale transitions by coordinating closely with the operations team.
• Educate prospective customers on the quality and value of JCI/York HVAC solutions.
• Call on assigned accounts in accordance with company policy and procedure.
• Follow up on existing sales bids and leads to advance opportunities through the pipeline.
• Maintain accurate customer information in the CRM program.
• Participate in training on the latest industry technologies and product updates.
• Support team members and peers in achieving KPIs and shared sales goals.
