Job summary

Trane Technologies in Providence is seeking an Application Engineer II (Equipment) to drive the equipment portion of diverse projects, validating selections, pricing, discounts and submittals while aligning with budget objectives.

You will review plans, specs and estimates to optimize equipment configurations, support sales with preliminary and final submittals, and work with vendors to ensure cost efficiency and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge and experience in project management or estimating.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Optimize/validate equipment including size, configuration, voltage and options from plans/specs/estimates.
• Evaluate potential cost savings or problems across projects and adjust accordingly.
• Validate scope with transition docs, plans, specs and quantities; coordinate EQ/VPP dollar breaks.
