Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Substation Technician C to perform construction, maintenance and repair on substation equipment across multiple sites. The role requires travel to other states and the ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around energized equipment.

CDL and tools provided by the candidate are essential. The position demands physical endurance, strong safety discipline, and the capacity to operate heavy equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL).
• Must supply own personal hand tools required by the company.
• 90% travel required.
• Willing to work overtime or long hours during emergencies/as required.

Responsibilities

• Works safely while performing construction, maintenance or repair, testing and troubleshooting of substation equipment and systems.
• Maintains company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Frequently works with energized high voltage systems with safety precautions.
