Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Substation Technician C to perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment up to 525 kV. This role involves working in confined spaces, elevated areas, and occasions of long hours during emergencies.

The candidate must be capable of climbing, lifting over 50 lbs, traveling up to 90%, and providing personal hand tools and safety boots. A CDL is required or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• Capable of rigorous physical labor.
• Capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Must supply own hand tools required by the company.
• Must supply own safety-toed boots.
• Capable of lifting >50 lbs.
• Capable of working in confined spaces/areas.
• Willing to travel 90% of the time.
• Knowledge of substation drawings and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment/systems.
• Work with high voltage equipment (23kV–525kV) and related components.
• Ensure company vehicles and test equipment are maintained.
• Follow safety rules and policies while performing duties.
