Job summary

Pike Corporation seeks a Substation Technician C to perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment at various locations. The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, safety-first attitude and the ability to travel to job sites, including potential work in other states. CDL and own tools are often required.

The position involves working with high voltage systems, heavy equipment operation, and extended hours during emergencies, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding work.
• Capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must have or obtain a Commercial Driver's License.
• Provide own hand tools and safety boots as required.
• Capable of lifting over 50 lbs and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair, testing and troubleshooting of substation equipment.
• Maintain vehicles, test equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work with energized high voltage systems with safety focus.
• Operate heavy equipment such as buckets, derricks, backhoes and forklifts.
• Follow company safety rules and standards; travel as required.
