Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks a Project Engineer to oversee high voltage infrastructure design and support EPC proposals. You will lead the design team, review calculations and specs, and ensure projects are on budget and schedule.

The role requires 5+ years in electric utility HV projects, a PE license, and a strong grasp of ANSI/IEEE/NEC/NESC standards. Travel up to 25% is expected, with a collaborative, safety‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the electric utility industry performing detailed engineering for HV substation projects.
• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering; PE license required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, civil, structural, or mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience with industry codes (ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NESC) and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion: planning, design, permitting, construction support, closeout.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specs for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Verify compliance with applicable regs and safety standards.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public for delivery.
• Oversee QC procedures to ensure high workmanship and materials quality.
• Prepare detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
• Maintain personal responsibility for quality and accuracy of work.
