Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects. You will provide oversight to the design team and support EPC proposals, with emphasis on substations and transmission lines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electric utility engineering, ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree, and a P.E. license. Strong communication and leadership are essential for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• P.E. license required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electric utility industry performing detailed engineering for high voltage substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Verify compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including environmental and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public for successful delivery.
• Maintain detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
