Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks a Project Engineer to oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects and provide design oversight for the team, including support for EPC proposals. The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering background, 5+ years in utility projects, a P.E.

license, and substantial experience with substations or transmission lines. Willingness to travel up to 25% and collaborate across disciplines is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electric utility detailed engineering for high voltage substations or transmission lines.
• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree (B.S. or higher).
• P.E. license is required and valid in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion: planning, design, permitting, construction support, closeout.
• Review electrical design calculations, drawings, and specs for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure adherence to budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Verify compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including environmental and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Oversee quality control procedures to maintain high workmanship and materials standards.
• Prepare project status reports and engineering documentation.
