Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to support the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of high voltage SCADA systems on utility-scale renewable and substations projects nationwide.

This role can be fully remote or located in Bend, OR, San Diego, CA, or Raleigh, NC, with interview discussions clarifying location expectations. Travel about 20% of the time is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read SLDs, equipment drawings, and network diagrams.
• Experience with RTAC, acSELerator, Ignition SCADA or similar.

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA requirements for substations in renewable projects.
• Support design, development, and commissioning of HV SCADA systems.
• Program RTACs, Phasor Data Concentrators, and HMIs.
• Coordinate network settings and IP assignments with plant network provider.
• Troubleshoot substation communications and assist field teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (NERC).
• Report project status, risks, and mitigation measures to management.
