Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to provide intermediate engineering support for the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of HV SCADA systems on utility-scale renewable and substation projects nationwide.

This role can be fully remote or located in Bend, OR, San Diego, CA, or Raleigh, NC, with about 20% travel. A 2–4 year SCADA background and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience with substation systems.
• Ability to read electrical and SCADA drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with SEL RTAC, Quickset, Ignition or similar SCADA tools.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA requirements for substations connected to renewable projects.
• Support design, development, and commissioning of HV SCADA systems.
• Program and commission RTACs, PDCs, and HMIs.
• Coordinate network settings and IP assignments for substation equipment.
• Troubleshoot communications between devices and controllers.
• Provide on-site commissioning support and customer communication.
• Ensure compliance with NERC and SOLV standards.
• Report project status and risks with management.
