Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to provide intermediate engineering support for design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of high voltage SCADA on utility-scale projects.

The role can be fully remote or based in Bend, OR, San Diego, CA, or Raleigh, NC, with travel about 20% for on-site work. You’ll work on PV, storage, and substation systems, following NERC-compliant, company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
• - 2-4 years of SCADA engineering experience (substation SCADA preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA system requirements for substations on utility-scale projects including PV, storage, and wind.
• 0 0
• Support SCADA design development and drawings to meet project specs.
• Verify substation points lists against relay and meter settings files.
• Program and commission RTACs, Phasor Data Concentrators, and HMI systems.
• Coordinate IP settings for substation equipment with network providers.
• Troubleshoot communications between subs and controllers.
• Provide technical support for diverse substation configurations.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and field staff for on-site commissioning.
• Travel ~20% for on-site activity.
• Identify software/hardware used and supported by SOLV.
• Report status and risks with project management.
