Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair activities across substations, BESS and PV facilities.

The role is remote with heavy travel to diverse job sites nationwide, requiring up to 75% travel and potential on-call work. The technician will perform safety-centered testing per standards, document results, and support field teams with equipment testing and client communications while upholding SOLV

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis (weekends/after-hours).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure safe working environment and adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write and review complete test reports of work performed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors and teammates.
• Lead and assess other technicians’ safety and technical skills.
